In my astoundingly un-humble opinion, the current state of Web 2.0 can be summed up in one word: broken. Sites opt in, on behalf of their users, to use the social networking extensions that they’ve heard of, and wish to use, regardless of the users’ opinions.

+1, except that’d make it *really* harder for a new social medium thing to take off.

Also, remember when Firefox was a “lightweight” browser? Te-he.

Eli’s omnipresence is fantastic and extremely very much appreciated.

But: I know that even he has to sleep sometimes. I tried cloning him, but some secret service guy from a small country somewhere east told me not to.

On recursive syntax-rules, and “recurse” vs “recur”:

Are you sure that’s what he meant? When I am writing syntax-rules, I often recurse when attempting to recur.
